Dishcloth Swap Questionnaire...Thanks Joan!

1. Do you knit or crochet? I am a knitter, for some reason crochet and I do not work well together


How long have you been doing it? I have been knitting a little over a year now

2. Have you made dishcloths before? It was one of my very first projects actually. Since then, they have been my #1 go to gift

Do you use them yourself, give them as gifts, or both? Both, never for dishes though. Just facecloths

3. What's your favorite cotton to make cloths from? I've used 100% cotton and hemp blends.

What cotton would you like to try that you haven't before ? Bamboo

4. If you knit, do you prefer circular or straight needles? straights for a small project and I use my Denise interchangeable's for just about everything else

For all, do you prefer wooden, metal, or plastic needles? I prefer wood for most projects

5. What are your favorite colors? PURPLES and red and greens

Any colors you don't like much? not really

6. What do you like best about Autumn?I live in New England Autumn is THEE season for everything wonderful... Apple picking, the weather cools , changing leaves, crisp mornings, Halloween.

7. Pies: Pumpkin? Apple? Pecan? All of em? Pumpkin

8. When you were a kid, were you the one who couldn't wait to get started with school , or the one who overslept on the 1st day? I couldn't wait! I LOVED school.

9. Do you celebrate Halloween? (The real key here guys is especially knowing if you have an aversion to the holiday or little goodies/decorations associated with it, given the time frame of the swap) I live in MA, Went to school for a time in Salem, Ma. I live in Halloween Central, USA. Love it!

10. If you had to choose just 3 edible 'goodies' to eat for a full year, what 3 would you choose? Chocolate, toasted almonds and craisons

11. Do you have any pets? Kids? Husbands who seem like kids? ;)
No pets, would like to get another dog someday. No children of my own, but I have a two year old niece, who is the love of my life and no husband (yay for me, lol)

12. If you were to describe a particular yarn that shares traits of your personality, what would it be and why? Alpaca. It's not what it seems to be. To look at it you would think it to be itchy like wool can be but then you get it close to you , you find its soft, warm and comforting.

14. Favorite Fall Holiday: Halloween or Thanksgiving and why? (Feel free to share another fall memory if you do not celebrate either of these holidays) Thanksgiving for obvious edible reasons, lol. For some reason Thanksgiving is the only holiday that makes you feel like "home" without a price tag attached.
